The World Exposition (EXPO) is a global event where countries and organisations come together every five years to showcase innovations in technology, culture, and solutions to societal challenges, aiming to inspire deeper cultural collaboration. Jordan has always been front and centre on the global platform.
EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, will be the third World EXPO to be held in Japan, following the successful ones held in Osaka (1970) and Aichi (2005).
EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, is a global invitation for participants to collaboratively envision and shape a sustainable future under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." The focus of this EXPO is on three interconnected subthemes: "Saving Lives," "Empowering Lives," and "Connecting Lives." Spanning 184 days from April 13 to October 13, 2025, it will be held on Yumeshima Island, at the shores of Osaka city.
Aligning with this overarching theme, eight Theme Weeks are organised throughout the Expo period exploring how global challenges and innovations in different sectors contribute to shaping future societies, showcasing how nations are addressing the key issues that impact our collective future.

In 2025, the world will be a mere five years away from 2030, the year the United Nations has set as the target for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan is based on the concept of a “People’s Living Lab” (a laboratory for a future society) a chance where people from around the world come together to “Co Create a better future society.
Beyond physical displays, Expo 2025 will emphasise virtual engagement, enabling wider access and encouraging international collaboration, spotlighting cutting-edge technologies, cultural exchanges, and pioneering solutions for the key Challenges.
