Meeting with the Vice Mayor of Osaka City.

 

Amman, (July 4th 2024) – The Executive Office for Jordan's Participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai held a meeting with the Vice Mayor of Osaka City on July 4th in Kyoto Prefecture. A presentation showcased the unique features of the Jordanian Pavilion, including its incorporation of collaborative elements with rural Japanese villages for the main exhibit and furnishings. Dr. Ahmad Jubran provided a virtual tour of the pavilion, highlighting its conceptual elements and design features.

 

The event provided a valuable platform for fostering stronger ties between Jordan and Osaka. The Vice-Mayor of Osaka emphasized the deep and long-standing relationship between Jordan and Japan, commemorating the 70th anniversary of bilateral relations and acknowledging the significant contributions of Ms. Shifa Zghoul, Deputy Commissioner General, in strengthening these ties.

 

Discussions explored potential avenues for collaboration, including the possibility of establishing a sister city relationship between Osaka and Amman. The event also discussed the potential for Myaku Myaku, the official Expo 2025 mascot, to visit Jordan for public relations activities.

 

Furthermore, the meeting established a direct line of communication with the Osaka City Office to facilitate the smooth construction and clearance processes for the Jordanian Pavilion.
