Jordanian Executive Office Explores Academic Collaborations with Waseda University.

The Executive Office for Jordan's Participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai met with Professor Haruhiko Goto, Vice President of Waseda University, and Professor Furuya on July 4th in Tokyo to explore potential academic collaborations.


The meeting focused on identifying opportunities for student involvement in Jordan's Expo 2025 participation and developing a framework for broader academic cooperation with Waseda University. Discussions centered on developing a plan for collaborative research initiatives between Waseda University and Jordanian institutions, focusing on areas of mutual interest and expertise, establishing a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress and impact of collaborative projects, and planning outreach and engagement activities, including seminars, workshops, and public lectures, to promote the joint lab's initiatives and the Jordanian Pavilion, raising awareness and fostering support from the academic community and the public.


Furthermore, the meeting explored opportunities to strengthen the overall partnership between Waseda University and Jordanian institutions, extending beyond the Expo 2025 collaboration to include joint degree programs and collaborative teaching initiatives. The meeting also explored the possibility of utilizing this framework as a model for establishing similar collaborations with other universities in Japan and Jordan.


This unique approach to collaboration, spearheaded by the Jordanian Executive Office, has garnered significant praise from the Japan Expo Association and media outlets.
